HUMANIFESTO

HUMANIFESTO

My quest for what it is to be truly human is something that lived in my bones since birth. This inquiry spanned many decades and was characterized by tireless investigation, dedicated experimentation, and an arduous spiritual journey. Finally to land HERE. The following tenets represents my complete HUMANIFESTO, at this present point in time. My offerings to the world, my fulfillment of my unique soul-scriptures, and my vow to the collective. It revolves around 5 central pillars, and states in great detail what I endeavor to bring forth, and humanifest in this world. If it resonates, I invite you to join me in my efforts.

PILLAR ONE: YOU ARE SACRED PURPOSE

I move from the core belief that each of us comes into this lifetime with an encoded purpose residing within. Sacred Purpose is that unique combination of callings, archetypes, lessons, significant relationships, and key emotional issues that each of us is here to clarify, to embody, to actualize, to transform, and to grow through. Because of the gripping nature of survivalist codes that exist in our DNA and stem from cultural conditioning, we have the tendency to define ourselves in linear, practical terms—but we are actually multi-dimensional. We glimpse this in our dreamscapes and in our nightmares—there is a much richer landscape within us than the one we encounter in our waking consciousness. That sublime world is a reflection of our sacred purpose—the profound significance of each birth, the deeper currents and rhythms that thread through us, the real why we are here. Each of us is a “polyphrenic soul,” entering this world with a multitude of treasures, pathways, potentialities, and brilliant shades of possibility that both reflect our soul’s growing edge, and our unique contribution to the world. We honor our purpose both because it grows us individually, and also because it grows us forward as a humanity. Sacred Purpose gives us a reason to keep at it, to remain steadfast and present in the heart of life’s challenges, to see ourselves as the artists that we are, sculpting our consciousness and that of the world’s, with our heartfelt convictions. Because we recognize that we are not merely here to survive—we are here to walk our true-path and grow humanity forward. We are here, because we are needed here. The work is to find out WHY.
.

I ENDEAVOR…
To support humanity in realizing that we are a benevolently intended miracle-in-process, each here with a uniquely constituted Sacred Purpose residing in the bones of our being. Deep within our brilliant natural born selfhood lie the answers to who we are, and why we are here. We don’t just have those answers—we actually ARE those answers;

To help others to learn how to excavate, “read”, and humanifest their Soul-scriptures—the unique form that their Sacred Purpose takes. To break the shackles of shame and guilt that imprison our magnificent selfhood—and foster methods that celebrate and embrace it. To plumb its depths for encoded information as to who we are and why we are here. To embody and integrate all of the gifts and callings that we came into life to humanifest;

To support others to identify and clear the emotional, practical, and relational obstructions that block their quest for True-path. To invite a shedding of the adaptations, masks and disguises that shroud their authentic face;

To de-stigmatize and embrace confusion on the search for true-path, and to foster an environment that celebrates its wisdom. To help others to convert their Truth Aches into True-path. To embrace Truth Aches as our harbinger of change;

To invite an adventurous way of being that moves fluidly and spontaneously in exploring new pathways of possibility. To re-ignite curiosity, exploration, creativity, discovery, fascination, and wonder in people of all ages. It’s never too late to live a purposeful life;

To use my callings and gifts as fodder for the mill of human expansion; to provide a grounded reminder to those who have momentarily forgotten their significance. To encourage them to never lose faith in their brilliance, no matter what the world sends their way. To hold the recognition that we are all remarkable beings, treasure chests of sacred possibility, hopeful and brave. Our sacred purpose may be hidden from view, it may be covered in dust, but it’s still in there, sparkling with infinite possibility;

To ignite a revolution of the spirit that is rooted in sacred purpose and a life of meaning. To serve as a centerpoint where Sacred meets Purpose. Where Our Here Meets Our Why.

PILLAR TWO: GROUNDED SPIRITUALITY

After decades of exploration of what it is to be human; a diligent commitment to my inner work; rigorous examination and deconstruction of spiritual tenets and paths—my offering has culminated in a new model: Grounded Spirituality. An all-encompassing experience of spirituality that is rooted in, and threads throughout, all aspects of our humanity and earthly experience. In the same way as my quest for something called enlightenment became a quest for something I now call enrealment, my quest for a spiritual life has now become a full-on quest for humanness. That is, the real question is no longer, “What is spirituality?” The real question is, “What does it mean to truly be human?”

Simply put, an absolute state of enlightenment does not exist—enrealment does. And it’s a relative process, changing form as we change form. We are form, and we are here to in-form our humanness. If there is an ‘ultimate path’, it’s rooted downward and horizontal; there is no distinction between our spirituality and our humanness. We begin and end our spiritual quest within the ground of our being—our embodied humanness—as both interpreter of experience and as our individuated portal to divinity. We don’t look outside our human form for spirituality, we look deeper within name and form, cultivating a more refined understanding of the divine reflection that exists right in the heart of our selfhood. We honor its sacred qualities and transformative properties, celebrating it as the perfectly constructed laboratory of expansion that it is. With our feet rooted firmly on Mother Earth, and in daily life, we become grounded in reality in all its identifiable forms. We expand outward, and inward, from there.

In essence, Grounded and Spirituality are synonymous. They both mean reality. The more deeply grounded you are in your body and selfhood, the more fully you are here. The more fully you are here, the more spiritual your experience. It is from the depths of your being that you have the greatest access to the everything. What this means, in concrete terms, is that we stop stepping away from the uncomfortable elements of our humanness, and we fully incorporate and live deeper within the often-maligned self, understanding and appreciating that the more developed the self, the more profound our connection to the spiritual realms. Rather than identifying the self—and our ego, stories, personal identifications, and feelings—as the enemy of the sacred, we recognize them as indistinguishable from it, and we embrace, honor, and live through every aspect of the self. Your selfhood: the thing you can truly stand in. The only thing that is truly yours. And the only way you can connect with the world at large and sense, feel, penetrate, this awake universe.

I am not interested in enlightenment if it means detachment from the emotional body, the earth plane, the challenges of being human. I am interested in enrealment, because it means that my most spiritual moments are inclusive, arising right in the heart of all that is human: joy and sorrow, shopping list and unity consciousness, fresh mangoes and stale bread. Enrealment is about living in all aspects of reality simultaneously, rather than only those realms that feel the most comfortable. We are not just the light, or the mind, or the emptiness, or perpetual positivity. We are the everything. It’s ALL God, even the dust that falls off my awakening heart.

I ENDEAVOR…

To bring forth perspectives and models that honor a healthy selfhood, aligning our spiritual philosophies and practices with the most holistic and inclusive ways of being possible. Versions of spirituality that are rooted in whole-humanness, fiercely unafraid to embrace all that we are. Models that invite us back into our bodies, back into our hearts, and back into relatedness with each other. Spiritual frameworks that begin, and end, within our wondrous humanness;

To remind humanity that the self is no accident, our stories are no accident, the difficulties and challenges we face are no accident, our nitty-gritty physical composition flaws and all, is no accident. That the path is not outside of the self—it is within the self. The magnificently relational and purpose-full self. The self that is our portal to divinity itself;

To advocate for, and support spiritual models that are grounded in the reality of daily life. To support human beings in returning to our being by rooting firmly and unwaveringly on Mother Earth. To stop looking for answers in the sky and look down at our feet, on the planet we were born on. To provide the practical tools, information, perspective, techniques, and methods for living an enrealed life. To inspire transformation that is authentic, heartfelt, depthful, and sustainable;

To support others in breaking free from the grips of Patriarchal and ‘New Cage’ spiritualities, and to critically review all spiritual teachings in order to fully understand their implications and value for humanity going forward. To let go of the idea that any spiritual teaching is a sacred cow, one that cannot be confronted or debated. To liberate the species from the idea that those who came before, have all the answers we seek. They don’t. We are a species in-process, endlessly evolving;

To consciously co-create a community of like-spirited individuals who support each other’s expansion while honoring each other’s true-path. To foster an atmosphere that celebrates our connectiveness and our uniqueness, one where the oceans of essence meet the individual droplet of meaning. The wholly holy.

PILLAR THREE: THE PATH OF HEALING

Intrinsic to the embodiment of our Sacred Purpose, is the need to excavate and work through the unresolved emotional material that we hold. This is particularly true at this stage of human development. All of us are trauma survivors, to one extent or another. If we aren’t carrying a mountain of individual trauma material, we are surely carrying various strands of ancestral and generational trauma. We are all a work-in-process.

We clear our emotional debris both because it creates space inside for our callings to reveal themselves, and, because our unresolved issues, toxic patterns, and wounds are brilliant opportunities for transformation. When we flee the shadow, we flee ourselves. When we turn away from our tender woundedness, we turn away from our own expansion. Because our shadows aren’t the enemy. Our resistance to them is. At their heart, repressed emotions are unactualized spiritual lessons. Emotional maturity and spiritual maturity are synonymous. Only by bringing the shadow into the light of day and working it through, can we can evolve as individuals. Only by ‘celling our soul’ can we transform ourselves and bring the world forward. The masters of dissociation will try to convince us that we are “in the moment” when we bypass our pain, but we can’t truly be here while we are nullifying essential aspects of our consciousness. If we don’t deal with those unconscious aspects, we cannot fully open the doorway to the Divine. This is the “power of then.” The mystery begins with your history. The history that is held within our emotional and physical bodies.

After all, spirituality is not a head trip—it’s a heart trip, gusts of God blowing through the portal of the heart, the aortic love valve merging with the love that courses through the universal vein. If we want to expand our spiritual consciousness, we have to shake our heart tree often. Opening the heart unlocks the heart of the universe, and we see what is always before us. May we be committed to shedding the armor around our heart a little more with every breath.

I ENDEAVOR…

To offer the tools, knowledge, and wisdom to help others to transform challenging patterns and wounds from the inside out. To hold the space for the shadow and facilitate its transformation into the light at its source;

To encourage the honoring of our emotional life and the healing of the heart. We cannot heal and resolve our emotional material with our mind. Real presence comes through the open heart. Not to analyze our patterns and wounds through witnessing them—like an astronomer staring at a faraway planet through a telescope, but to jump right into the heart of them, encouraging their expression and release, stitching them into new possibilities with the thread of love. You want to live a holy life? Heal your heart. That’s the best meditation of all;

To nurture the healing of our past relationship wounds. We are wounded in relationship—we must heal in relationship;

To support the development of a healthy ego. A healthy ego is essential to a depthful emotional life. Without it, we cannot withstand the rigors of healing and transformation. Rather than dismissing our ego, what we need instead is to support the construction of a sturdy, balanced ego. One that celebrates our intrinsic value, without imagining itself as “all that.” One that honors the self, without a need to dishonor others. One that serves as a solid foundation for manifesting our unique soul-scriptures;

To foster an environment that transforms internalized shame into self-belief. To invite genuine self-revealing in an environment of kindness, vulnerability, acceptance, and compassion;

To share the wisdom of body-centered and depth psychotherapies that move beyond band-aid approaches to healing, and plumb the roots of the traumas that plague and obstruct us. Until we heal, we cannot arrive here and truly change our world.

PILLAR FOUR: BRIDGING THE GENDERATION GAP

A fundamental aspect of my life’s work is to acknowledge the tremendous pain and unresolved wounding that exists between the genders. When I wrote ‘The Apologies to the Divine Feminine (from a warrior in transition)’, I was particularly attuned to the suffering of the Divine Feminine, both because of my internal efforts to access my own receptivity after years (lifetimes?) spent below armor, and because of my close relationship with my Grandmother which became a kind of learning ground for my natural interest in gender dynamics. In watching and listening to her, I was better able to understand the ways that women have been controlled by patriarchal structures. Over time, my interest blossomed into a broader exploration of how both women and men have been imprisoned and limited by gender conditioning. From that arose a strong need to make an offering that contributes to our mutual healing.

There has been so much blame between us, so much contempt and bitterness. To be sure, it is essential that we express our anger and heal our hearts. Nothing should be swept under the rug in that process, everything should be exposed. But it is also important that we have compassion for each other and endeavor to understand the context for our actions. We have all been victims of a sociological landscape that impacted on our identifications and behaviors. Like two different species in the same bed, we were compelled by circumstances to inhabit roles that kept us miles apart. Those roles have caused us great suffering, each gender bearing the weight in its own way. To the extent that one gender was denied wholeness, the other was denied it as well. Women were denied the right to basic protections and pathways of expression, men were denied access to a tender, receptive way of being. This is not to deny that women have been blatantly oppressed by the masculine, but to acknowledge that no one got off easy, despite appearances.

As we move towards a more enheartened interface, may we create space for new visions of possibility. We can begin the process by healing the gender-ation gap that exists between us. We can soften the edges perpetuated by our reactivities. We can heal the rifts along the gender continuum that keep us apart. In my most clarified imaginings, I envision a world that fully celebrates the healthy feminine and the healthy masculine. Instead of throwing all gender differences out with the bath water, we make a conscious distinction between uplifting and destructive identifications. We craft a sacred balance of our healthiest aspects. Each of us identifies the unique fusion of feminine and masculine energies that aligns with our essential nature. And we openly learn from one another—men teach healthy manifestation, women teach healthy womanifestation—and we come to Humanifestation together.

May we never forget the relational and co-transformative nature of human expansion. Although the ultimate romance is with your own soul, it is our experiences together that give birth to the essential lessons. We are each here to participate in this dance of sacred imagination, stepping on each other’s toes and turning each other toward God one clumsy step after another. We trip, and then we get back up with greater awareness. With this in heart, I am hopeful that we can learn to accept one another in our humanness. We are going to continue to make mistakes, but there is grace in that if we see our errors through to the lessons they contain.

I look forward to the day when we can meet one another in our true nakedness, stripped free of unresolved emotions, pain-induced projections, the distortions of duality. For too long we have been on opposite sides of the river, the bridge between our hearts washed away by a flood of pain. But the time has come to construct a new bridge, one that comes into being with each step we take, one that is fortified with benevolent intentions and authentic self-revealing. As we walk toward one another, our emotional armor falls to the ground, transforming into the light at its source. And when we are ready, we walk right into the Godself at the center of the bridge, puzzled that we ever imagined ourselves separate.

I ENDEAVOR…

To support the bridging of the gender-ation gap. To foster the healing of our past relationship wounds without gender baggage obstructing our ability to transparently see one another. To usher in a new paradigm of soul-sourced relationships, one where the divine feminine and the sacred masculine are equally honored and integrated. To construct the preparatory tools necessary to navigate soul-based relationship terrain;

To contribute to the bringing forth of a new consciousness that honors and has great reverence for the Divine Feminine—a feeling-based, earthy, fierce, heart-centered, relational perspective. To encourage and illuminate spiritual models and methodologies that are sourced in the wisdom of the feminine, and that invite us to feel our way to wholeness;

To critically review deeply embedded patriarchal structures, and to articulate their merits (if any), and their perils. This includes a particular emphasis on those spiritual models and frameworks that emphasize individual mastery at the expense of connectiveness; confuse self-avoidance with enlightenment; focus on being above rather than being among; deny the value and significance of the world of feeling;

To support the awakening man on his journey from becoming a heart-severed warrior to a benevolent warrior. To kindle a movement for men-supporting-men in overcoming age-old deeply embedded patterns and paradigms, and entering into the way of the heart-centered, trustworthy warrior;

To encourage the co-creation of enrealed love relationships. A grounded and balanced relationship that honors the three entities at the heart of each connection: the individual world of each participant, and the world that they co-create together—encompassing the triad of developmental aspects of healthy coupledom: soulmates, solemates, and wholemates. It is grounded in reality, and simultaneously rooted in sacred purpose and the principles of healthy relatedness;

To nurture individual and collective ways of being that reflect a deeper regard and conscious care for the Mother Earth that nourishes and sustains us.

PILLAR FIVE: ENREALMENT ACTIVISM

My mission and role as an Enrealment Activist is to contribute to the co-creation of a more grounded, heart-centered, relational, embodied, and inclusive world. Not a world that is fractured, insensitive, or elitist, but one that is integrative, compassionate, and honoring of every human being’s inherent uniqueness and right to a fulfilling life. Not a world that seeks to transcend the pain of the world through transcendent and denial-based spiritual pathways, but jumps into the fire feet-first, bravely and fiercely fighting for justice for all. I want to co-create a world that pulls humanity close, that refuses to let anyone fall off the edge, that breathes individuals back to life when they lose all hope, that moves the way love makes us move. In this world of sacred possibility, we will never forget that we are all part of this human-nest. If even one is left out, the nest is empty.

Enrealment Activists are brazen and clarified in their intentions. They understand that shifting from a survivalist to an authentic consciousness is no small feat. It will take all that we have to humanize and enhearten our species. And that means it will get ugly, long before it gets beautiful. The path of the Enrealment Activist is not soft and sweet. It is not artificially blissful and pretend forgiving. It is not fearful of divisiveness. It is not afraid of its own shadow. It is not afraid of losing popularity when it speaks its truth. It will not beat around the bush where directness is essential. It has no regard for vested interests that cause suffering. It is benevolent and it is fiery and it is cuttingly honest in its efforts to liberate itself and humanity from the conditioned ties that bind. Activism that is only floaty soft is a recipe for disaster, allowing all manner of manipulation to run amok. Enrealed spirituality is a quest for truth, in all its forms. Sometimes we find the truth on the meditation cushion, and sometimes we find it in the heart of conflict. May all spiritual warriors rise into fullness. This species is lost without them. Miracles won’t save us. Acts of co-creation will. The Enrealment Activist understands what has to be done. And (s)he does it.

I ENDEAVOR…

To encourage the construction of a grounded new earth. Not one that imagines itself smiley-faced Shangri-la, but that acknowledges the shadow as well. That realizes that we are all Souldiers of a Truer Order, fighting for our mutual right to the light. A society that empowers us to recognize our value and that models ways to seek our authentic voice from an early age. Not above the world, but smack-dab in the heart of it;

To support the co-creation of economic systems (heart-centered capitalism) that bring opportunity for healing and expansion to people from all walks of life. To give the disenfranchised on the outskirts of society, and the victims of extreme trauma, greater accessibility to the tools they need to heal, and bring their brilliance to the world;

To invite the enheartenment of our political systems. To inspire others to take action in every sphere of society; to craft structures, systems, and laws that support, encourage, and connect us. To help others to understand that there is no distinction between politics and spirituality;

To make a determined effort to produce more humane and embodied spiritual models that encompass the broadest range of possibility. Not ‘step one’ models masquerading as ‘step-everything’, but models that actually take us further into an inclusive consciousness—that embrace every aspect of our humanness in our awakening;

To support the co-creation of inter-relational models of consciousness that will serve us going forward. Models that speak to the stages of awakening that happen not merely within and among our individual aspects, but that also focus on what happens between us—in the connective field. We have far too many individually-centered models and far too few relational ones. We need maps, frameworks, and holarchies that speak to the stages of consciousness that arise at different stages of heart connection, and that elucidate the ways in which certain inter-personal relationships fuel our growth and deepen our individual and collective becoming. To encourage the study of love and relationship as a portal to divinity;

To hearticulate a paradigm of healthy functioning that serves students going forward. To provide course offerings that support a balanced lifestyle in all aspects: spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, physically, inter-relationally, and more. To offer a plethora of tools to heal and evolve, in many different formats. To create wider accessibility to my offerings worldwide;

To help humanity to embrace INCLUSIVITY: a way of being where every one of us, and every aspect of us, matters. Every struggle. Every wound. Every dream. All sacred. To construct a world where we are all sacred advocates for each other. Where we welcome all humans into the valued fold, and embrace the healing and integration of all our parts. When we believe the plight of the self matters, we cannot help but work together to love humanity forward. Let’s all do our bit to enhearten this armored world.

Deep bows,
